VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia, July, 19, 2019 –SPARQ Global (SPARQ), the commercial subsidiary of US defense company Global Technical Systems (GTS), welcomes Anthony “Tony” Russo as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Tony will lead SPARQ’s cybersecurity technical delivery business unit.
A 25-year industry veteran, Tony has spent his career guiding emergent IT and cybersecurity in both the public and private sectors, building FISMA-compliant capabilities, corporate IT governance functions, IPO-ready cybersecurity frameworks and professional services practices. Tony’s judicious nature and steady hand has ensured the protection of intellectual property, trade secrets, and confidential personal information across a range of industries, environments, and compliance/regulatory frameworks. He will leverage and expand on this very skillset at SPARQ.
Tony joins the SPARQ team after serving as Vice President of managed security operations for Arlington-based Zeneth Technology Partners and prior to that as Director of IT and security governance for the software company Qlik. A graduate of Clarkson University, Tony also spent more than a decade with Deloitte, where he served as Director of IT Security & Governance Operations and Enterprise Risk Services.
A sought-after industry speaker, Tony believes a resilient and comprehensive cybersecurity capability must be flexible to meet ever-changing strategic goals and executive requirements while ensuring the integrity and continued protection of sensitive data is always maintained. As part of SPARQ’s growing executive team, Tony will play a key role in moving the organization’s cybersecurity and IT capabilities forward.
